'Miles for Mission' Charity Walk/Run to Take Place on October 22nd

World Missions Ireland (WMI) will host a novel charity event to raise awareness and funds during Mission Month.

WMI are continuing with their preparations ahead of the inaugural charity 5km walk/run which takes place in the Phoenix Park, Dublin on Saturday, October 22nd at 11am. All funds raised will directly support the work of WMI which focuses on promoting mission awareness and assisting the missionary activity of the Church.

According to Sally Mc Ellistrim of WMI, the event is aimed at 'celebrating the wonderful work of our missionaries throughout the world'. She encourages as many as possible to come along on the day and 'lend us your feet'. The event, which takes place during Mission Month, is open to those of all ages, and people are welcome to participate as individuals, as a family, with friends or a parish group.
