OLA Plenary Council Set To Commence

 

Biennial gathering commences on 31st January in Lyon, France.

The Plenary Council of the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Apostles will take place in Lyon, France from 31st January to 18th February. In attendance will be Sr. Felicia Harry, Superior General, and her Generalate Team of Srs. Denise Bang’na, Daniela Bellini and Mary T. Barron. They will be joined by all Provincials, District Superiors and representatives from the regions. Sr. Kathleen McGarvey, Provincial Leader, will be present on behalf of the Province of Ireland.

The OLA General Chapter is set to take place during the Summer of 2018. The upcoming Plenary Council will focus on preparing the agenda and deciding on the number of delegates from the various entities in the congregation for the General Chapter, along with other matters related to the works on the congregation. 

The OLA Sisters have a presence in the following areas:

  • The Americas: Argentina and Canada.
  • Africa: Algeria, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Chad, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania and Togo.
  • Europe: France, Holland, Ireland and Italy.
  • Middle East: Lebanon.
