A seminar will take place in the Museum of Country Life at Turlough Park in Castlebar, Co. Mayo on June 18th.  It will examine the effect which immigration policies have on individuals, communities and Ireland. The June 18th event will commence at 9.30am and conclude at 3.30pm. Booking is required.

The seminar forms part of the current temporary exhibition entitled 'Migrant Women - Shared Experiences', which itself runs until the end of June. The exhibition focuses on the 300,000 migrant women from Ireland who left these shores between 1883 and 1908 while also exploring the rich traditions of women from around the world who now reside in Co. Mayo (see image above).
