World Refugee Week 2016
Events to mark awareness week run from June 18-24.

A number of events will take place across Ireland in the coming week to coincide with World Refugee Day which takes place on Monday, June 20. Events in Ireland are to be co-ordinated by the Irish Refugee Council (IRC).
On June 18th, a team of artists will paint murals at a number of locations across Dublin with the themes of welcome and solidarity.
On June 19th, the UNHCR and Sport Against Racism Ireland (SARI) will host a football game in Dublin while silent walks take place in Waterford and Cork.
A free community event will take place in Smithfield, Dublin on the evening of Friday, June 24th. Events will include west African drumming, arts and crafts, music performances and pavement chalking.
