Sr Janet Nutakor OLA is invovled in the ministry of reaching out to Africans living in Ireland and she, together with other OLA sisters, attended the Mothering Sunday celebration hosted by the African Catholic Chaplaincy this past weekend.

Mass was celebrated by the Archbishop of Dublin, the Most Rev. Diarmuid Martin, at Church of Saint Finian, Rivervalley, Swords.

He thanks for the great pastoral activity of the chaplaincythrough the lives of families, mothers and children. He also gave thanks for those who give their time, energy and wisdom to the work of the Chaplaincy.

"Christian mothers have suffered in their witness to the love of Jesus.  At times, they have experienced the ingratitude of their children.  Mothers have lost many nights sleep anxious about where their children’s lives had gone inthe wrong direction.  I think of the many mothers in Africa who weep day after day for their children trapped in war and in natural disasters.    I think of some of your mothers living in Africa saddened by the fact that you have had to come so far to find a truly dignified life.   Lord protect Christian mothers who suffer in our world."
