The annual Divine Mercy Conference took place on February 17 and 18 at the RDS Dublin. A spokesperson for the event noted that the 'holy spirit was well and truly alive' over the weekend.

The event was preceded by the Divine Mercy Youth gathering which was held on February 16 at St. Paul's Church, Arran Quay in Dublin. The evening included music, testimonies, inspiring talks and healing. The keynote speakers were Ralph Martin and Keith Kelly.

Delegates at the two-day conference in the RDS heard from Fr. Tim Bartlett of the World Meeting of Families and solicitor Caroline Simmons from the Pro Life movement.

Sr. Mary Usifoh represented the OLA Sisters over the weekend, assisting with the Vocations Ireland stand in the RDS exhibition centre. She found the event worthwhile.

"The talks were very appropriate and thought provoking. The conference emphasied the importance of compassion in our world and sharing the 'Good News' with others."
