Organisers of yesterday’sRosary on the Coast  of Ireland for Life and Faith’ have thanked all who participated in the event.

Events took place at over 300 locations. The OLA Sisters Dublin Community joined the Rosary on the Coast initiative at Sandymount Beach.

Speaking to the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) last week, Kathy Synott of the organising committee estimated that it would be the ‘biggest event of its kind in almost 40 years’ with tens of thousands set to attend.

Rosary on the Coast coincided with the Feast of Christ the King.  Those who gathered prayed for the protection of life and the preservation of faith in Ireland.

Similar events have taken place in Poland and Nigeria in recent months.
