Pope's Prayer Intentions for October

Pope Francis' Prayer Intention for October focuses on the dignity workers and the unemployed - a theme which has been central to his papacy thus far. In the video to accompany this intention (see below), Pope Francis speaks of the 'dignity and rights of those who work' while remarking that we should 'condemn' situations where these rights are violated. The video highlights the 'ripple effect' of positively reaching out with kindness to others while we go about our work - including to those who seek employment. The pontiff also remarks on the role we have in ensuring 'authentic progress by man and society'.

Prayer Intention: Workers and the Unemployed

Pope Francis prays:

"That all workers may receive respect and protection of their rights, and that the unemployed may receive the opportunity to contribute to the common good."
